WEEK THREE

This is a sacred opportunity to draw closer to God as you reflect on yourself and your daily life.

Isaiah 58:11

GOD GIVES STRENGTH:

"And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

When you sing or hear the hymn “IN THE GARDEN” what does it mean to you? Close your eyes, envision Jesus coming through the garden entrance way and greeting you with a smile and asking if you have the time to sit with Him awhile. Are you in a hurry or do you return the smile and offer Him a seat?

Your Praise Challenges for this week are listed below. Pick one challenge per day as you use your Bible to look up Scriptures and pray about what you read. Think about each challenge as you take time to be still and listen for what God is saying to you.

Praise challenge:  God does not bless you so you can just store up his blessings and keep them all to yourselves. God blesses you so you can bless others.  Think/pray about ways you can honor God by being a blessing to others.

Praise Challenge:  God would never call anyone to a task unless He has already equipped them by a spiritual gift. Since God equips every single believer, we might be called to comfort others, to identify and then use our spiritual gifts. We are to trust God, knowing that He is prepared tasks for us to do beforehand and that He will provide an open door, which might be through others.

Praise Challenge:  Are you forgiving to those who have hurt you?  Or your family?  Compassion is a gracious gift from God…pray that you learn to use it as he has used it for us.

Praise Challenge:   Being a Christian does not mean having a trouble-free journey in this world - it means having Jesus with us on our journey.  We are not alone; God is always with us.  What an awesome God…we should praise Him daily, hourly for how He cares for us.

Praise challenge:  The greatest good that we can do is to live and practice the faith and to be faithful to our vocations heroically, firmly, habitually and with great love—every day, in every action and in every thought.

Praise Challenge:  As God's children, we can stand firm in our faith. God's covenant with us is not going to fail. His Word is flawless, right, true. His promises can be fully trusted, no matter what our circumstances may be.
